A really lovely and important read. So much of the concert experience is about being in community and just simply vibrating our bodies at the same time. Bc it makes us feel like we belong. It doesn’t matter the form that vibration takes

I have seen two incredible artist with boombox shows and have wondered what other's experience with that setup has been like. The first was Jim Thirwell (or Foetus) opening for Einstürzende Neubauten and he did a fantastic industrial Jim Morrison screamfest, a mesmerizing one-man monster at a Lady's Auxiliary Club.

The other was early Ween and we couldn't NOT notice the rhythm section was boom box because they praised it/them effusively before and after show and between most songs to the point of ridicule which was the point of course.
